Acceleration of the GPU discrete wavelet transform

Wavelet transform is a powerful technique to analyze local spatial frequency of an image. In this paper, we improve the speed of the GPU discrete wavelet transform by using not only pixel processing but also vertex processing. This approach achieve load-sharing between steps of the rendering process. Practical evaluation for performance showed the improvement of calculation speed about 30%.
